Umar ibn al-Khattab
(RA) performed the duties of the Arabs
(as the second caliph) from 23 August 634 to 3 November 644.
Almost half of the
world's ruler, Ubaydah, used to take care of state treasures as finance minister at the beginning of the Khilafat. On the eid the day before, the woman said to her husband, 'Eid for us will not be new clothes, but small The baby is crying for Eid's new clothes'.
The ruler of the Arab world, Umar (RA) said, 'I can not afford to buy new clothes'.Later, Umar sent letters to his Finance Minister Abu Ubaida (RA) to pay one month's advance salary. Abu Ubaidar (RA) got water in his eyes after receiving this kind of letter from the president of the entire Muslim world, who ruled almost half of the world at that time.
Ummat Amin Abu Ubaidah (ra), without paying money to the letter, wrote in reply to the letter, 'Emirul Muminin! You have to decide between two matters for the advance allocated salary. First up in the coming months, you will not survive?Secondly, if you live, will the people of the country continue to hold the caliphate for that period? After reading the letter, President Umar did not answer any one, but he cried so much that his tears were wet in the water.
He lifted his hand and prayed for Abu Ubaidar (RA) - thinking that a qualified finance minister could choose.
